Hampton Court Palace Festival 2008
What: A varied mix of high profile artists from classical to pop, culminating in a Festival Finale.
Where: Hampton Court Palace, South West London
When: Tuesday 3 June to Saturday 21 June
Line up: Curtis Stigers, Jools Holland and the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Katherine Jenkins and Rufus Wainwright.
Cost: From £35 to £150 plus booking fee, depending on the event.
Venn Festival
What: A mixture of music, sound and art which resists traditional programming and modes of production with the aim of creating an emotional and thought provoking experience.
Where: Various locations around Bristol
When: Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 June
Line up: Acts include Afrikan Boy, Chik Budo, Errorsmith, John Wall and Matmos.
Cost: A very limited edition weekend pass costs £28 plus booking fee. A day/night pass costs £17 plus booking fee and provides access to all events on Saturday 7 June. Day tickets purchased in advance cost £8 on Thursday, £10 on Friday, £12 (day) or £9 (night) on Saturday and £8 on Sunday, excluding booking fee.
Wyeside Music Festival 2008
What: Located on the banks of the River Wye, this festival features over fifty bands on four stages. Talented up and coming acts will be showcased on Friday night.
Where: The Rugby Club Grounds on the banks of the River Wye in Hereford.
When: Friday 6 and Saturday 7 June
Line up: Hawkwind, Flykkiller, DJ Dr Alex Patterson, Sketchbeat, The Guns, Kris Dollimore and Voodoo Johnson.
Cost: Tickets are £20 for adults, £48 for a family (two adults and two children aged 12 to 17), £6 for children (aged 12 to 17) and free for under 12's.
Rockness
What: This event brings you a great line up of electronic, dance and rock artists...just keep your eyes peeled for the Loch Ness Monster!
Where: Dores, near Inverness
When: Saturday 7 to Sunday 8 June
Line up: Artists include Fatboy Slim, The View, Razorlight, Underworld, The Twang, Mylo, Editors, The Cribs, CSS, David Guetta and Roisin Murphy.
Cost: Day tickets cost £50 and weekend tickets cost £100 without camping and £115 with camping.
Camping: Camping is available to those purchasing a full weekend ticket.
Transport: A shuttle bus will be running from several major Scottish towns and cities.
Parking: Parking is available to both weekend and day ticket holders for a fee (TBC).

What: This annual three day rock, metal and punk festival features some of the biggest bands in the industry.
Where: Donington Race Park, Leicestershire
When: Friday 13 June to Sunday 15 June
Line up: Headlining artists are Kiss, The Offspring and Lostprophets. Other artists include Biffy Clyro, Incubus, Motörhead, Bullet For My Valentine and Jimmy Eat World.
Cost: Standard weekend tickets for arena only cost £130, a ticket with camping and family camping costs £150, and a standard ticket with camping and coach travel costs from £177.
Camping: Camping is available to those who purchase a full weekend arena ticket.
Transport: The nearest train stations are Loughborough and Derby, with an official festival shuttle bus running to and from this station. Shuttle bus tickets cost £7 return. National Express will be providing a bus service to the site from all major cities and many smaller towns. By car, Donington Race Park is three miles from the M1, M42 and A50.
Parking: Parking costs £10 in advance or £15 on arrival.
Escape into the Park 2008
What: An event packed with cutting edge electronic music, entertaining an audience of 20,000 party goers.
Where: Singleton Park, Swansea
When: Saturday 14 June
Line up: DJ's include Underworld, Ferry Corsten, Eddie Halliwell, Fedde Le Grand, Judge Jules, Lisa Lashes, Tidy Boys, Sander Van Doorn, Dave Pearce and the Trophy Twins.
Cost: General admission costs £41.50 (plus £3.50 booking fee) and £57.50 (plus £4.50 booking fee) for VIP admission.
The Isle of Wight Festival
What: Voted the 'Best Major UK Festival' at the 2007 UK Festival Awards, the Isle of Wight festival returns with another fantastic line up.
Where: Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight
When: Friday 13 to Sunday 15 June
Line up: Performing artists include The Kaiser Chiefs, Sex Pistols, The Police, The Kooks, The Hoosiers, The Enemy, Kate Nash, Newton Faulkner, Amy MacDonald and The Zutons.
Camping: Camping is available.
Transport: Buses will be running from the local ferry ports. You will need to book a ferry to reach the Isle of Wight from Portsmouth or Southampton. These two ports can be reached by train.
Parking: Car parking is available at one of our campsite car parks.
Glastonbury Festival
What: According to their website, Glastonbury Festival "is the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world". Set in the beautiful Somerset countryside, this event features massive acts and a diverse range of areas to suit all tastes.
Where: Glastonbury, Somerset
When: Friday 27 to Sunday 29 June
Line up: Confirmed acts include Jay-Z, Kings of Leon, The Verve, CSS, Alabama 3, Levellers, Editors, Goldfrapp, The Enemy and The Fratellis.
Cost: Weekend tickets cost £155 (plus £5 booking fee and £4 postage and packing per order), including camping.
Camping: Camping is included in the price of the ticket.
Transport: The site is accessible by car from the M4 and M5. National Express and TheTrainline both have dedicated websites for purchasing tickets to Glastonbury.
Parking: A car parking ticket must be purchased when you buy your festival ticket.
